The rerouting of international maritime routes, additional security procedures, and operational adjustments by shipping lines are causing fluctuations in transport schedules and increased costs. The situation is also affected by vessel delays, longer transit times, and higher additional ocean freight surcharges (such as PSS, Emergency Surcharge, War Risk).

CF&S monitors the situation closely in cooperation with shipping lines and agents. Our goal is to ensure that any potential changes are communicated to you quickly, transparently, and predictably, while minimizing their impact on your supply chain.

Changes in Fuel Prices and Ocean Freight Surcharges

Given the current circumstances, shipping lines are forced to introduce or adjust several tariff components, such as:

• Fuel surcharge (BAF/Fuel Surcharge) — shipping lines have switched to more frequent updates
• War risk surcharges (War Risk / Emergency Risk Surcharge)
• Сosts related to route changes (for example, rerouting vessels around Africa, which can extend the journey by 10–20 days)

Due to rapid market changes, these surcharges may be introduced with short notice.
We will inform you immediately if decisions made by shipping lines or regional authorities result in additional adjustments.
