Sea freight rates apply from terminal to terminal and do not include origin or destination terminal charges.
Normally, pricing is based on weight or volume – 1 ton or 1 m³, whichever is greater.
For example, if a pallet is heavy but small, the charge is based on weight.Sea freight rates include:
- Currency Adjustment Factor (CAF),
- Bunker Adjustment Factor (BAF),
- Low Sulphur Fuel Surcharge.

For certain destinations, temporary surcharges may apply, such as:
war risk surcharge, piracy surcharge, compliance surcharge, peak season surcharge, congestion surcharge, etc.
Rates apply to non‑hazardous general cargo, commercial goods, non‑bonded and stackable shipments not exceeding:
365 × 225 × 225 cm (L × W × H).
Rates apply to shipments where the weight of a single package does not exceed 3000 kg, and the total shipment weight does not exceed 7500 kg.
For non‑stackable cargo, the chargeable empty volume for each package is calculated using the formula:
(220 cm height – actual height) × actual width × actual length.

All dangerous goods, as well as cargo requiring veterinary or phytosanitary inspection, must be pre‑approved by CF&S Estonia AS.
Additional surcharges may apply and are calculated case by case.
All packages must be clearly labeled.Unlabeled shipments are subject to a labeling fee.
Personal effects shipped to North America are delivered under:
- POD FOT (Free on Truck) — delivered onto the truck;
- or, in case of prepaid freight, door delivery (curbside or commercial doorstep).

Alcohol shipments are subject to additional surcharges and are treated as non‑stackable cargo.
Wooden packaging must be fumigated, if required by the destination country. CF&S Estonia can arrange fumigation at an additional charge.
If you request weighing, or if the declared weight differs significantly from the actual weight upon arrival, a SOLAS weighing fee applies.

CF&S Estonia AS reserves the right to change rates without prior notice.

Storage conditions : 5 days – free of charge.
After that, storage is charged according to the tariff schedule. If the cargo is held for any reason at a transshipment port, storage is counted from day one, and costs are determined individually.
