LTL or „less-than-truckload“ is the transport of larger or smaller parcels that do not fill the entire load. Partial load transport is used when the quantity of goods is relatively small. If your quantities of goods are smaller and do not require special handling or ultra-fast delivery, then partial load transport is the best choice. Partial load transport is a scheduled and reasonably priced transport solution.

Groupage means shipments from different customers weighing up to 2500 kg, which are transported on one route and in the same cargo hold. With the groupage service, the cargo moves from the point of departure to the destination through different cargo terminals on the basis of several waybills. To use the groupage service, the maximum length of a unit of goods can be up to 2.4 m, height up to 2.2 m, width up to 2.4 m, weight up to 1000 kg, and the maximum weight of the entire shipment is 2500 kg. The goods must be packaged appropriately for transhipment.

They are defined by using the Incoterms (International Commercial Terms) rules. Incoterms (delivery clauses) are an international standard that defines the mutual obligations of the buyer and the seller during the transportation of goods. They define who is responsible for the transportation of the goods and what costs are borne by the buyer or seller.

Closed wagons with a body volume of 150 m3 or 161 m3 can fit up to 42 pallets in a single layer.

In the case of road transport, we work with our rail, sea, and air transport teams for the best combination. The choice of mode of transport depends on the destination, specifics, and time sensitivity of your goods. This type of transport is called multimodal transport. Multimodal transport increases our flexibility to offer you the best transport solutions.

Price includes

• transport from door-to-door
• a reasonable loading and unloading time taking into account the quantity of goods ordered
• road carrier liability insurance/CMR insurance 8.33 SDR (Special Drawing Right) per kilogram gross weight of goods
  (As the liability insurance of the road carrier is limited in liability, we recommend that you additionally take out cargo insurance in case of valuable goods.)

Reasonable charging time

• reasonable loading time is considered to be a maximum of 0,5 hours for groupage goods of gross weight or estimated weight up to 2500 kg at one loading point;
• for partial loads, a maximum of 1 hour;
• for full loads, a maximum of 2 hours;
• If a reasonable loading time is exceeded, a downtime shall be applied according to our price list

Estimated weight

• 1 m³ = 333 kg. Calculation formula: shipment length x width x height
• 1 loading meter = 1850 kg. Calculation formula: shipment length x width / 2.4
• for groupage consignments with a height of up to 1,2 m, the estimated weight shall be calculated in cubic metres, unless the packaging of the goods does not allow loading of other goods, or the goods are dangerous
• For groupage consignments higher than 1,2 m, the estimated weight in loading meters shall be calculated

Dimensions and weight of groupage goods

• maximum package dimensions 240 cm (length) x 120 cm (width) x 220 cm (height)
• maximum package weight 1000 kg
• the maximum gross weight of the shipment or the estimated weight of the shipment is 2500 kg

Invoicing

• the price is calculated on the basis of the highest gross weight of the consignment or the indicator of the estimated weight
• the calculated weight is rounded up to the next 100 kilos (for example, 101 = 200)
• the cubic metre or loading meter shall be rounded up to the first decimal place (for example, 1,11 = 1,20)
• In the absence of a credit agreement, the transport invoice must be paid in advance

The relations between the parties to the contract for the international carriage of goods by road are regulated by the CMR Convention. On this basis, in the case of damage to fixed goods, the carrier is subject to a maximum liability rate of 8.33 SDR (Special Drawing Right) per kilogram of weight of goods. In addition to the limitations on the rates of compensation, the liability of the carrier includes only losses caused by the fault of the carrier. The carrier is not liable for damage caused under unavoidable circumstances, e.g. robbery.
