CF&S has successfully contributed to the Tashkent Metro Line extension in Uzbekistan.
CF&S AS Estonia encountered a great challenge some months ago: transportation of a tunnel boring machine from Paldiski South Harbour to Tashkent, Uzbekistan. The machine is used to excavate tunnels with a circular cross-section through a variety of soil and rock layers. The tunneling machine can lay a tunnel and at the same time install a concrete frame.
In spite of the unfavorable weather conditions, extremely tight time schedule and specifics of the cargo, this part of the project was held in the best way: we provided twelve own special 80` railway platforms for transporting the cargo from ESTEVE terminal by railway directly to its final destination.
To ensure the most efficient and safe loading process we also invited engineers who prepared detailed cargo-securing and loading schemes.
